Brunel, Apiar and Golby are three names we want to give proper space to in the Watchheads Journal. Each gives us something different to talk about.
Brunel Nova One
Brunel takes its inspiration from British engineering and industrial history. Its Nova One uses distinctive case details and a Swiss La Joux Perret movement. Future features will look at the design choices and the work behind the watch.
Apiar

Apiar builds its approach around additive manufacturing. Its official site describes British component manufacture and assembly, with unusual case and dial structures among the ideas worth exploring.
Golby

Golby gives us colour and coastal inspiration. Its current collections include the Skipping Stone and Aquareef 40. We will follow the individual releases and the stories behind the designs.
Our connection: Brunel is Sam Remblance’s own watch business. Apiar and Golby are friends of Sam. We will make those connections clear where relevant, and distinguish maker information from our own observations.
Expect launch coverage, confirmed show appearances and conversations about what goes into these watches. Every story will be checked for its actual date. A watch appearing in the Journal does not mean Watchheads stocks it.
